background
Ben De Nardi Architects combine artistry and expertise to create beautiful architecture. They provide a personalised service that results in elegant solutions.
Their philosophy is based on three key ingredients:
Climate - They am committed to designing spaces that thrive in changing environmental conditions. From addressing climate change to incorporating passive house principles like thermal masses and shading, sustainability is at the core of their philosophy.
Landscape/Place - They believe in creating architecture that is in harmony with its surroundings. Whether it’s optimizing views and sunlight or harnessing the power of water, I strive to honour the land. This includes considerate landscaping decisions and preserving the integrity of the site’s ecosystem.
Client Collaboration - Meaningful dialogue with clients is central to their approach. By genuinely understanding clients needs, aspirations, and the unique context of each project, they guide them through the collaborative process.
project
To develop a simple brand mark that represents the character of the company; in addition to a responsive portfolio website that provides a platform for the architectural work of BDN Architects
The logo (ligature) is a combination of the letters B,D and N, placed together to form a memorable, recognisable brand mark. It was created using Architectural blocks and works simply in both black and white forms. When developing the BDN Architects website, we put the projects front and centre. Each project is represented with bold photography and showcases the design and materials that were used. The website has intuitive, easy to follow navigation on both desktop and mobile platforms. We used Helvetica Neue as the typeface throughout all BDN Architects collateral. It is a simple and very legible font that positions the architectural work as the main focus.
CHALLENGES
BDN Architects Architects are based near Byron Bay and Cooke Creative in Melbourne, therefore distance was the only challenge. (there’s this thing called the telephone.)
